Newborn flashback - Quote of the day...

Here's a photo of one of my first moments as a mother... I'm looking a tad tired and 'out of it', but I'll never forget cuddling this precious, warm little bundle, and my love for him. According to the photo information (as I would never remember this detail!!...) it was exactly 13 1/2 hours after he had been born and between newborn, first time mum, chaos and responsibility, it was all about 'skin to skin' time. (A newborn's play space = mama bear herself!) There were so many difficulties yet to be faced in those blurry first days, weeks and months, but here, in this moment, I was totally and utterly calm.
