Little wooden car

Back in Year 7, for one short term, I found myself in a woodwork class making a little wooden car! So much care and love went into the designing, sanding and lacquering of what is now (*gulp...25 years on!) a prized toy amongst my little boy's collection!  Oh, and it's also great to just relax face down on the ground, and let Master 2 year old drive it up and down the 'road' on mama's back!!

Serious "broom, broom... beep, beep" face!

Great for imaginative play, eye-hand coordination, visual motor coordination (keeping the car driving along a path/track) and encouraging hand preference (one stabilises, while the other manipulates the car - when driven along the ground).
