About Bicentennial Park Golden Grove

Bicentennial Park in West Pymble (often called Golden Grove after the adjacent street) is a favourite for north shore families thanks to its winning combination of inclusive playground design and a fully fenced perimeter. For parents of toddlers or children with a tendency to dash, the secure fencing with gated entry provides genuine peace of mind — you can breathe.

The playground features inclusive equipment including accessible swings, sensory play panels, tactile surfaces, and climbing structures with ramps and transfer platforms. It's designed so children with mobility challenges can play alongside their peers, not in segregated areas. The equipment targets a wide age range, with a dedicated toddler section and more challenging elements for older kids.

The surrounding park is lovely — established eucalyptus trees provide natural shade, and there are open grassy areas for ball games and picnics. A walking track loops through the park. The atmosphere on weekends is friendly and community-oriented, with the same families showing up regularly and kids playing together.

Clean toilets are adjacent to the playground. Free parking in the car park off Lofberg Road is usually fine — this is a residential area without the parking pressures of inner-city parks. The nearest food options are a drive away in Pymble or West Pymble village. BBQ facilities are available in the park. No train station within walking distance — Pymble station on the T1 line is about a 15-minute drive or a long walk. This is primarily a driving-in playground. What it lacks in transport access and nearby amenities, it more than makes up for in the safety and quality of the play experience.
