Blenheim Park

Blenheim Park in Prospect has quietly become one of western Sydney's most popular playgrounds thanks to two standout features: a high-speed flying fox that absolutely rips (parents regularly comment it's the fastest in Sydney), and a designated RC car track that gives the playground a unique edge. The remote-control car circuit is a proper sealed track with banked corners and a viewing area — kids (and plenty of dads, let's be honest) bring their RC cars and race for hours.

The flying fox is set up for maximum speed with a steep launch and a long cable. It's not for the faint-hearted — smaller kids might want to work up to it. But for the 6+ age group, it's exhilarating. The rest of the playground has climbing structures, a multi-slide play fort, swings, a sand pit, and balancing equipment.

The park is large with excellent facilities. Multiple covered BBQ shelters with electric BBQs make it a popular spot for family gatherings and birthday parties — you can book shelters through Blacktown Council. There's a walking track around the perimeter, open grassy areas, and well-maintained gardens. Toilets are clean and accessible.

Free parking in a dedicated car park is usually adequate. The surrounding Prospect area is residential with limited food options within walking distance — pack a picnic or plan to use the BBQs. No train station nearby; this is a driving-only destination. Bus routes service the area but are infrequent. For families in the western suburbs looking for adrenaline play combined with BBQ facilities, Blenheim Park delivers consistently.
